HOUSING AND FINANCIAL COUNSELING

Parents have a critical need for safe, stable, affordable housing. The Achieving Reunification Center provides educational and housing services to ensure that parents/caregivers have access to appropriate housing. Services include:

• Housing Counseling/Workshops.
• Eviction Defense Counseling Housing Identification.
• Preparation of Housing Applications.
• Instruction on reading leases and contracts.
• Advocacy regarding tenants’ rights and responsibilities.
• Assistance in securing housing, including assistance with Section 8 and subsidized housing applications.

Many families need support to build paths toward self-sufficiency. The Achieving Reunification Center provides one-on-one financial counseling services and financial education workshops.

• Assistance with applying for public benefits.
• Assistance with banking.
• Credit and budgeting counseling.
• Debt management counseling.
• Identity theft repair.
• Free income tax preparation to maximize tax refund.
• Other financial planning and reunification issues related to finance.
